"If we do not transform our pain,
we will most assuredly transmit it"

Groups for Parents

To support a child's ability to self-regulate, we must first explore ourselves.

Attachment Theory is currently the most research supported theory of human development we have, which explores the nature of our most primary human relationships. It helps us understand why we behave how we do, and how to support our children to develop into adults who are well in their bodies and mind, in their relationships and overall life. Secure parent-child relationships start with a parent who can self-reflect and self-regulate; responsive and sensitive to their child’s experience while also attuning to their own. Through co-regulation with an attuned parent a child can work through their experiences with the support of their parents nervous system, and both feel more connected from doing so.

This 8 week parents group (online or in-person in Wicklow, Ireland) is for parents of children of any age, is 2 hours per week, with 6-12 people, using a programme created by The Centre for Mind-Body Medicine which has been established for over 30 years.
